Sevilla are considering a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pablo Sarabia in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Vamos Mi Sevilla, who report that the Wolves man is on his former club’s radar.
They explain that it has been total disappointment for Sevilla at the beginning of this season, with the Spanish side sitting second from bottom with two points from four games and no wins.
Questions are already being asked about the squad assembled by Victor Orta and a perceived lack of attacking options with Lucas Ocampos set to depart.
That’s led to them potentially eyeing up a move for Sarabia in January. He is not a key player for Wolves at this moment in time and ‘wants to return to Spain’.
Sevilla would consider bringing their former player back, believing he guarantees goals and assists, something the current side is missing.
There is also a belief it would be a very low-cost operation given he is 32-years-old and his current deal with Wolves runs until 2025.
That’s easy to believe, with low-cost very much the spirit of matters under Orta at Sevilla at this moment in time.
Given the source we’ll have to take the idea with a pinch of salt for now, but it’s one we can easily see being a thing in January if Sevilla continue to struggle up front.
