It seems Imram Louza could be leaving Watford this month, at least according to the latest reports from France.
Foot Mercato today writes that following an initial interest from Metz in the player, it’s now Lorient who are keen on signing him.
Louza had already been said to be open for a return to France, and it’s now claimed he’s ‘attracted by the idea’ of moving to Lorient, as he already spoke to them about the switch.
The Ligue 1 side would sign him from Watford on a loan deal until the end of the season, although an agreement is still to be reached.
On Twitter, journalist Fanif Ben Berkake writes that Lorient’s offer is expected to be made in the ‘next few hours’.
Louza arrived at Watford on a €10m deal back in 2021. This season, he has 21 appearances for the Hornets, but despite starting the season in the starting lineup, he hasn’t been getting much playing time lately.
So that may show up as an opportunity for the club to let him go play elsewhere.
