On Thursday morning, we covered a report from Brazil saying West Ham United made an offer to get André signed from Fluminense.
It was said the Hammers wanted to match Liverpool’s €30m bid for the player, but unlike the Reds, they would be happy to accept taking him in January rather than this summer.
That story from Lucas Pedrosa didn’t bring Fluminense’s stance to the attempt, but as journalist Jorge Nicola now features a video talking about this situation, he brings some exciting news for West Ham.
The reporter says that with the Hammers accepting the January move, the Rio de Janeiro club are expected to agree the deal and sell André to David Moyes’ side.
Nicola just includes a hypothetical problem in this scenario, which is that should Liverpool show up willing to take the player only in January too, the midfielder is expected to prefer a move to Anfield rather than the London Stadium.
That hasn’t happened yet, though, and it’s West Ham who seem to currently lead the race for André, as the Reds continue to work on a possible deal for Ryan Gravenberch, who wants out of Bayern Munich.
