Bayern Munich, believe they have been handed ‘even more good arguments’ to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham and will step up their pursuit this week.
That’s according to BILD, who say that CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and squad planner Marco Neppe will be flying to London tomorrow to meet with Daniel Levy for transfer talks.
The newspaper explains that the duo skipped out of Bayern’s eleven-day tour of Japan and Singapore earlier this week, preferring to stay in Munich as they continue to work on the squad.
The Bayern leaders are focusing all of their efforts on getting Kane from Tottenham and, after an initial €70m offer was rejected, they hold ‘another important negotiation’ on Friday.
According to BILD’s information, Dreesen and Neppe want to fly to London on Friday to meet with Levy and try to convince him to sell his captain.
Several factors play into their hands, with reports in England that Joe Lewis has ordered Kane to be sold if he doesn’t sign a new deal added to Kane’s wife, Katie, recently travelling to Munich to scout out houses and schools.
Those two factors, coupled with Kane having ‘assured’ them he will only join Bayern this summer if he does leave Tottenham means the duo have added ‘better arguments’ to their case.
They didn’t have these under their arm when that first bid was made, and the belief is that their chances of convincing Levy at their planned meeting are getting stronger.
