As Italian outlet Calcio Mercato has a story showing how good has Tiemoué Bakayoko been for Napoli, you’d think the Serie A side are ready to buy him from Chelsea.

The player has become an important piece for the club this season, becoming the midfielder with the most appearances so far, and proving to have been a good loan signing.

But the report actually brings the opposite of that. Despite praising Bakayoko’s form, the website writes that Napoli have no intention of making the loan deal permanent at the end of the season.

Calcio Mercato reckons there’s an open market for the Frenchman in the summer, following his inevitable return to Stamford Bridge.

The outlet even claims the player could end up staying in London, since Thomas Tuchel has just arrived and could decide to keep him in the squad.

In case Bakayoko has to leave the Blues, then there’s a ‘market chance’ for Italian clubs, who could bring him back to the country following his spells at Napoli and Milan.

The 26-year-old has a contract with Chelsea running until 2022, so this should be a decisive window for his future.
