Aston Villa defender Matty Cash is a potential target for AC Milan, with their director Geoffrey Moncada using a recent trip to the UK to visit the Villans.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the Aston Villa full back is an option for the Serie A giants if they don’t sign Emerson Royal from Tottenham.
The newspaper explains that Moncada travelled to London on Friday to speak to Spurs about the Brazilian, but the trip also served as an opportunity to visit Aston Villa.
That’s because the club have their eye on Matty Cash too as they seek a player to compete with David Calabria at right-back.
Cash is currently valued at €30m by Aston Villa but the Italian side are convinced they can get a discount on him and bring that figure down.
What price they’d be happy to pay isn’t mentioned, but the fact he cost Villa €15m originally is mentioned so perhaps that’s the number they have in their head.
Either way they like Cash and believe he is a player who could fit in well in their current squad, particularly under incoming manager Paulo Fonseca.
Milan seemingly need to convince Aston Villa into a deal that suits them, but they are keen and Moncada has been in the UK this week exploring a deal
