After watching his side’s disastrous defeat in Paris, Barcelona director Robert Fernandez travelled to Munich the day after.
Mundo Deportivo revealed he would be doing so prior to the game, and Friday see them reporting he spent Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena, where he saw Bayern Munich thrashing Arsenal 5-1.

According to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo today, the trip had a special target: Fernandez wanted to watch Hector Bellerin closely.
But as we all know, there wasn’t much to see. Bellerin couldn’t really stop Bayern Munich’s great performance, which ended up turning the emissary’s attentions to the former Barcelona player Thiago Alcântara.
Hector Bellerin has been pointed out as a target for Barcelona since the departure of Daniel Alves last summer, and even though the interest had been reported dead, it isn’t something that will vanish so soon, especially after Aleix Vidal’s injury.
Mundo Deportivo claims that despite the poor performance, Fernandez still likes the player, but Arsenal’s reluctance to sell and high valuation of the right-back stands in his and Barcelona’s way to get a transfer done.
