Everton’s Arnaut Danjuma and West Ham United’s Saïd Benrahma have settled for a limited role this season and Lyon could open their door for the duo in the winter market.
On January 11th, L’Equipe stated the 26-year-old Dutchman is on track to leave Everton this month and has an agreement in place with the Ligue 1 side. It was also said the West Ham man is a priority target for them.
L’Equipe on Wednesday have provided a fresh update on the Premier League duo when discussing Lyon’s plans to bolster their attack.
Lyon are closing in on a deal for KAA Gent’s Gift Orban for €13m and are also working on the potential arrival of Benrahma and Danjuma, who is on loan at Everton from Villarreal.
It’s claimed the French club ‘continue to negotiate’ to sign the Everton and West Ham attackers.
The report says these two are ‘complex’ operations which are ‘slow to progress’, indicating that potential exits from Everton and West Ham respectively could drag on until the end of the January window.
L’Equipe, however, don’t mention why these operations are complex.
