Bought from Malaga for a small £5.4m fee last summer, Sandro Ramirez never really managed to fit in at Everton, to the point where he was sent back to Spain on loan for the second half of the season.
However, the forward didn’t exactly set La Liga on his return, failing to score in 13 league appearances, even if he did help out with two assists.
Now back at Goodison Park, the 23-year-old is currently on preseason tour with the Toffees, but could end up, once again, heading to Spain this summer.
According to Super Deporte in Spain, Sandro is one of four targets listed to potentially replace Simone Zaza should the Italian leave the Mestalla in the coming weeks.
Michy Batshuayi appears to be the first choice, but with the Chelsea man currently on holiday after a long World Cup run, we still have to see what Maurizio Sarri thinks of the Belgian.
As well as Sandro, Liverpool’s Divock Origi and Milan’s André Silva are options, but the fact Marcelino already wanted the Spanish forward in January before his move to Sevilla is a good sign for the Everton man.
One to keep an eye on.
