While it’s not ridiculous to believe that Real Madrid will have another big summer transfer window next year, El Desmarque have been pushing the idea hard of late.
First, they were suggesting that Madrid would be raiding Chelsea for N’Golo Kanté by offering €100m plus Gareth Bale, before later revising that to €100m plus James Rodríguez.
Today it seems Manchester United are in the firing line, with Paul Pogba back on the agenda for the Spanish giants.
They were keen on getting the United midfielder throughout this summer in what became one of the more tedious transfer sagas.
Ultimately he never left Old Trafford, but that has not ended Madrid’s interest, with it widely believed they would be going back for him next summer.
That’s what El Desmarque say will happen, and Madrid have another transfer plan to try and convince Manchester United to sell.
According to the website, Madrid plan to offer €100m plus Gareth Bale, who they value at €80m, so a total of €180m.
It’s explained that Madrid want to get rid of the Welshman next summer, as their patience with him has run out.
However, it all depends on Zinedine Zidane. If he is still at the club, it will mean performances have improved and Pogba will the ‘prize’ for that improvement.
First, though, he has to ‘earn’ the transfer, suggesting that Real Madrid will hold off to see how the Frenchman does before entirely investing in trying to get Pogba out of Manchester United.
