Barcelona are growing concerned about Raphinha internally, with his move from Leeds United yet to prove worthwhile.
That’s according to Sport, who say the Catalan club have become ‘concerned about the attitude’ the player is showing behind the scenes.
Raphinha joined Barcelona in a £52.5m deal from Leeds in the summer after months of speculation about his future.
He had been the star of the show during his two years at the Nou Camp, scoring 17 goals and registering 12 assists in 67 games in all competitions.
Several clubs in the Premier League were interested in his signature as a result but he held out for Barcelona, eventually getting his dream move in the middle of July.
He is yet to get going at the Nou Camp, though, with just one goal and one assist in 14 games to date and nothing in the Champions League.
Sport say that, and his attitude, is causing Barcelona to become ‘somewhat concerned’ about the player, particularly as he has also ‘lost a lot of importance’ in manager Xavi’s selections.
He was a regular starter earlier in the season but now finds himself on the bench regularly, which is less than great for a player who cost so much.
There is no mention of why this, but his ‘attitude’ is questioned, which is surprising given that was clearly one of his strong points during his time at Leeds.
Perhaps he’s not as happy in Catalunya as he believed he would be, with the move yet to work out like he or Barcelona anticipated.
