Fiorentina would need ‘several million Euros’ to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United should technical director Nicolas Burdisso follow up his interest in him.
That’s according to La Nazione, who follow up reports that Burdisso had scouted the Leeds man at the World Cup in Qatar.
We covered a report from Italy yesterday that stated Burdisso was in Qatar and scouting several talents during the World Cup, and Leeds star Adams was one of the players he had looked at.
The newspaper follow that up today and explain what talents Burdisso has ‘in the notebook’ from his scouting mission.
Burdisso is one of a long list of club chiefs at the tournament watching players with the January transfer window just around the corner and clubs looking to do business.
The Fiorentina chief is currently more focused on the summer than next month’s window and has taken in the following matches Argentina-Mexico, Poland-Argentina, Germany-Spain, Cameroon-Serbia, United States-Iran and Belgium-Morocco.
The first two are to watch his own players and there is a belief he is unlikely to have focused on players from Argentina, Germany or Spain.
They are ‘well known and, above all, expensive’ and his focus is instead on potential bargains. Leeds United’s Adams falls into that category.
While is ‘valuation is already high’ and a cheque of ‘several million Euros’ would be needed to secure his signature, he is someone they could look at in future.
There’s no suggestion a move is imminent, and it is made clear Burdisso is looking further ahead than next month, but the Leeds man certainly seems to be on his list.
