As of around 5pm on Thursday afternoon, Aberdeen FC are standing very firm in their stance when it comes to a transfer of Luís Henriques de Barros Lopes, more commonly known as Duk.

The striker has been a target for Leganes late on in the transfer window, but the Dons have been pushing them back throughout the course of deadline day, mostly because their requests haven’t been met.

Aberdeen, according to AS, consider Duk an important part of their team, even if he has only scored five goals in 30 appearances this season, and while they are not ‘closing the door’ on a transfer, they are ‘setting tough conditions’.

Leganes, down their end, have been ‘insisting all day’ to try and get the Cape Verde international, to no avail just yet.

It’s said the Spanish side have ‘bombarded’ Aberdeen with phone calls throughout deadline day to ‘soften’ the stance in Scotland, who have not quite declared their player untransferable just yet.

They key would be finding a ‘payment formula’ that could ‘satisfy all parties’, but with time running out, that might be hard to do.

One to keep an eye on.
