Eintracht Frankfurt are expecting a bid from Newcastle United for Omar Marmoush this summer and won’t stand in his way if he wants to depart.
That’s according to SportBILD, who cover the player today and how his performances are attracting interest from the Premier League.
They explain that Marmoush’s performances for Eintracht, he has 15 goals and six assists in 33 games this season, mean a move in the summer is very much a possibility.
Newcastle are one of the clubs to have put him on their list, as has been evidenced by numerous reports over the last few months indicating their interest.
A report at the end of the January transfer window indicated that they were looking into a potential move for him and was followed by a similar claim not long afterwards.
SportBILD further back that up and say that at Frankfurt, it is ‘assumed’ Newcastle, and the other interested clubs, will be submitting offers in the €50-60m range at some point.
Marmoush dreams of playing in the Premier League so would be open to the switch, and if he indicates to the German side that he wants it, and an offer is made, they will talk about a deal.
The club are known for not standing in the way when it comes to their players, and it was one of the reasons Marmoush elected to join them in the first place.
Whether that opens the door to a move to Newcastle or anywhere else remains to be seen but the belief is that they will be making a bid at some point this summer.
