It appears that Udinese are fully preparing for their goalscorer Beto to leave the club in the summer amid many stories that Everton are interested, as explained by TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Serie A side swatted away a €25m offer from the Toffees for the Portuguese forward back in January, as Frank Lampard wanted to add a striker to his squad.

He was then fired, replaced by Sean Dyche, but that didn’t stop the stories about Everton wanting Beto in the summer from continuing.

Well, as first reported in America and now backed up in Italy, Udinese are closing in on FC Cincinnati’s Brenner, whom TuttoMercatoWeb claim will be ‘the replacement for Beto next year’.

That’s because the 25-year-old ‘will be at the centre of a market auction in the next few weeks’, and the Serie A side are trying to get Brenner now to avoid their own bidding war for the Brazilian.

In short, they want an auction for the Everton target, aren’t interested in fighting for the Cincinnati striker, hence why they are moving in April.

It’s said a new meeting will take place next week to sort out the player’s wages, but a five-year deal appears to be on the table, and the signing would then allow them to comfortably sell Beto on, perhaps to a still interested Everton.
