As things stand, Dejan Kulusevski still doesn’t know if he will be a Tottenham player on July 1st or if his future is at Juventus.
The Sweden international was meant to be bought outright at the end of the season for €35m, but Spurs dramatic failure to qualify for the Champions League meant that fell through, with the compulsory clause to buy becoming an option.
This uncertainty surrounding his future at Tottenham has meant Juventus could end up with him once again, and Il Messaggero, relayed by Tutto Juve, claim the Serie A side are already planning a scenario where he doesn’t get bought by Daniel Levy.
The latter is currently on loan at Lazio from Juventus with an option to buy, and the plan would be to use him and Kulusevski, still technically a Tottenham player, in a direct swap for the Serbia international.
This is one of three avenues the Italians are exploring, with the other two being a €25m + bonuses offer or a deal involving Arthur Melo and some money, all the while promising not to buy Arkadiusz Milik from Marseille.
For Tottenham, this means they need to make a decision very quickly, and it all comes down to what Ange Postecoglou has planned for his new-look Spurs.
