Eintracht Frankfurt are almost expecting a bid from Tottenham for Omar Marmoush this summer as he continues to impress in the Bundesliga.
That’s according to Sport BILD, who say the German club have ‘assumed’ that Tottenham and other suitors will bid for him at some point.
Marmoush has been in good form for the German side this season, bagging 15 goals and six assists in 33 games in all competitions to date.
That’s a significant improvement on the six goals and one assist he had in 36 games last season and has led to increased interest in him, as well as increased speculation about his future.
Tottenham are one of those believed to be in the mix, with a report at the end of the January transfer window making it clear they were keeping a close eye on the player.
That’s been backed up by various reports since, with it explained Marmoush is on their wanted list and that a €30m effort could be on the cards.
SportBILD continue that today and say that Tottenham do have the forward on their list of options and Frankfurt have ‘assumed’ that they and others could bid €50-60m for the player.
They’re open to negotiations if a bid is received, having long established themselves as a club who won’t stand in a player’s way if he makes it clear he wants a transfer.
Marmoush joined them because of that and has made it clear more than once he dreams of playing in the Premier League at some point in his career.
Whether Tottenham are willing to offer him that opportunity this summer remains to be seen but they are very much seen as one of the contenders at this point.
