Following Leicester City’s relegation, one of the players who has been heavily linked to a way out of the Foxes is Timothy Castagne.
English and overseas clubs have been said to be interested in the 27-year-old, and even though there’s been a few days of silence, we see this rumour being mentioned in the Italian media today.
Outlet Juve News features on Thursday an interview with journalist Filippo Bonsignore. There, they asked him about Juventus’ transfer market, and when quizzing about signings that are potentially close to happening, there was a mention to the Leicester City player.
“The Bianconeri are very advanced for Castagne from Leicester. It’s an operation that they have already embarked on for some time”.
This time, there was no mention of what would it take to get Castagne from Leicester City.
The player is currently protected by the Foxes with a contract until 2025, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €25m.
Still, recent reports from the Turin media claimed that following the Foxes’ relegation, the English club would demand only €15m for his sale this summer, and that undoutbedly becomes an attractive opportunity for the Serie A giants.
Now it seems they’re moving on with their mission.
