Roma manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted he will be looking at Everton in a different light ahead of January, now that the Friedkin family have officially taken charge at Goodison Park.

Il Messaggero cover comments from the Italian boss from his press conference on Friday in which he admits Everton are now in a different light than they were previously.

The Friedkin Group completed their takeover at Goodison Park earlier this week, brining an end to Farhad Moshiri’s tumultuous time at the helm.

They’ve quickly made it clear that they intend to invest in Sean Dyche’s squad come January, insisting that strengthening the first-team squad was among their main priorities moving forwards.

There have already been months of rumours about a possible relationship with Roma, also owned by the Americans, as the takeover process rumbled on, with many expecting the two clubs to work in synergy moving forwards.

That would certainly make sense, with other multi-club networks working in a similar way and often doing deals between themselves.

Ranieri has now hinted that may be on the cards with Everton and Roma, admitting he’ll be looking at the Toffees in a different light moving forwards.

“As for Everton, I think it’s a consequence.  We haven’t actually talked about it, but now I’ll look at Everton with different eyes obviously,” he answered when asked about a ‘synergy’.

“We look at everyone, we will try to bring players from Rome to Rome, but it won’t be easy.  It’s already difficult in the summer, in the winter market it will be even more complicated.

“Let’s go and look for those guys who can give us a hand and who can be the future of Rome.  We will try to do the best for Rome, to ensure that it gets back on track and gets as close as possible to high levels.”
