Earlier on Thursday, we relayed a story from TuttoMercatoWeb that Wolves appeared to be leading the pack to sign André Silva from Milan this summer.
This, of course, set off our ‘skeptical’ bells, as it seemed a bit too easy, what with Jorge Mendes being his agent and the Portuguese having a big say in the newly promoted sides previous transfer windows.
The Italian website stated the forward would be available for around €34m, which is what AC Milan paid for him in the first place, but we felt ‘these latest claims seem more motivated by hope, on behalf of Milan, than expectation’.
Well, the Serie A club were wishing for his departure, they might very well get it, as Calciomercato are now claiming the Portugal international, currently with his national team preparing for the World Cup in Russia, has asked his club to listen to any offers that come for him.
We’re guessing that means any offers Milan deem sufficient, but if Silva is pushing for an exit, there’s a chance whoever gets him could do so at a slightly discounted price.
The Serie A side are currently awaiting a decision from the CFCB to find which sanctions they’ll face for failing to adhere to FFP regulations.
