Romanian website Digisport have reported Watford goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis has agreed a move to CFR Cluj.

The player looked surplus to requirements with Watford, and is set to leave the club after making just a couple of appearances for the Premier League side.

Arlauskis signed for Watford in 2015 after impressing for Steaua Bucharest, but he didn’t get many opportunities at Vicarage Road.

In total, he played just two games for the club – one in the League Cup and the other in the Premier League. He also spent the second half of 2015-2016 season on loan at Espanyol.

Arlauskis is contracted to Watford until June 2019, but Digisport.ro claim the player has cancelled his contract with club, despite having two more years left on his current deal.

Cluj have reportedly been in contact with the 29 year old for the past two months, and it seems they’ve finally reached an agreement with the player.

The move will give Arlauskis a chance to kickstart his career after a forgettable spell in England.
