There are claims in the Italian media Serie A clubs are taking an interest in Avellino defender Layousse Diallo. The youngster has made an impressive start with this new club since arriving in the summer, and this week was linked with Leeds United.
Mondoprimavera have reported clubs from the top tier of Italian football are taking note of the 19-year-old, which is likely to result in several clubs from Serie A coming in for the left back. Diallo has been one of Avellino’s pluses this season despite the troubles of the Serie B side.
The youngster has played in five of his side’s six league games, although his side are rooted to the bottom of the table. It’s been claimed because of Diallo’s displays in a struggling team it’s just a matter of time before he’s playing in a major league.
Yesterday we reported a number of clubs are taking an interest in Diallo with one of those being Leeds United. Diallo only joined his current club in the summer when he signed a three-year contract. The player has gone on record in the past couple of days to say he left Fiorentina in the summer because the club weren’t prepared to give him a chance.
However, Leeds United will face competition from AS Monaco, Watford and unconfirmed German sides.
