Rangers F.C. are eyeing a move for Galatasaray’s Olimpiu Morutan as a replacement for Ianis Hagi, who they are set to sell for a ‘serious figure’.
That’s according to fotoMaç, who say Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side are already doing their research ahead of a move.
They say that the Ibrox side have Morutan ‘on the agenda’ as they are preparing to sell Hagi for a ‘serious figure’ in the near future.
That will leave them with a hole to fill, and Morutan is the man they are eyeing up, with them described as a ‘serious suitor’ for his signature.
According to the newspaper, Rangers are ‘conducting price research’ on Morutan and hope to bring him to Ibrox on loan with an option to buy tagged onto it.
There’s no mention of whether Galatasaray are willing to accept such a deal, but it is made clear that Morutan has ‘not had a chance’ at the Turkish club, whom he joined from FCSB in August this year.
It all seems to centre around Hagi leaving Ibrox first anyway, but should he do so, Van Bronckhorst and his team have identified Morutan as the man to replace him.
