Inter Milan will have battle it out with AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and a few other clubs to sign Rodrigo De Paul in the summer.
The midfielder joined Atlético Madrid from Udinese in 2021 and things haven’t gone well for him at the Metropolitano, also because Diego Simeone doesn’t like him.
That’s according to InterLive.it, who state the 28-year-old is one of the candidates to leave the La Liga side after this season. Tottenham are in the picture to sign him, but a return to the Serie A shouldn’t be ruled out.
Inter tried signing the Argentina international on a dry loan deal in January but it didn’t work out. They would try again, while Milan could look to take him in the summer on loan with a buying option set at €30m.
Regarding Spurs, it’s claimed Fabio Paratici has already held talks with the player’s agent. In addition to this, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy likes the World Cup winner and would want him to be part of the north London club’s midfield next season.
With Atlético looking to De Paul, there’s belief a €30m fee would be enough to convince them to sanction his sale.
The South American, for his part, would favour a top Italian club over English clubs, as long as they qualify for the Champions League next season. It’ll be interesting to see how this case develops.
