Claim Chelsea signing can be closed ‘within 48 hours’ – Player has ‘said yes’ to Tuchel’s side

On Tuesday, Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly admitted a deal to take him to Chelsea is on the “right track”.

Since then, there have been multiple claims in Italy that bring the defender closer to the west London club.

TuttoMercatoWeb state the 31-year-old has ‘said yes to Chelsea’ and the clubs continue to negotiate so that a fee can be agreed for the transfer.

The centre-back’s agent, Fali Ramadani, informed him yesterday afternoon about the Blues’ fresh effort to acquire his services.

That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who state the Naples club insist the official offer from the Premier League side hasn’t arrived.

Luciano Spalletti’s side insist the Senegal international is expected to join his teammates in Dimaro on Wednesday, even though there is a possibility a deal to join Chelsea can be concluded in the next 24 hours.

In order to conclude the signing, the new Chelsea leadership are ready to satisfy Aurelio De Laurentiis’s €40m request for the former Genk man. They have already convinced the player with a four-year contract worth €8m a season, plus €1m bonuses.

With Ramadani already in London for two days, Koulibaly’s move to Chelsea is ‘heading quickly towards closure’.  The report also states the English club will offer €40m to Napoli and the deal can be closed ‘within the next 48 hours’.
