On May 6th, Calciomercato explained agent Frank Trimboli has been tasked to ‘register a millionaire proposal’ from Newcastle United for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala.
The 28-year-old is out of contract on June 30th, and it has already been confirmed he will leave the Serie A side as a free agent in the summer.
Another report from Calciomercato on Wednesday explained that Arsenal and Newcastle United are ahead of other Premier League sides in the chase for the forward.
It was also reported the Argentina international’s agent, Jorge Antun, would be in Rome to watch Juve’s Coppa Italia final against Inter Milan, which the latter won yesterday.
Although reports have pushed forward Inter to be the South American’s next destination, Agresti claims the former Palermo star ‘evaluates’ making a switch to the Premier League, where Eddie Howe’s side have made a firm effort to secure his services.
“Where is Dybala going? Inter will not take him off. Inter have asked him to be patient, they must be sure to eliminate certain deadwood to free up the salary,” Agresti said.
“But I also keep the Premier League, he has instructed intermediaries to test the waters. Favourite destination? I say Manchester United. But Dybala has received only one concrete offer, from Newcastle. But it doesn’t look like a club that warms the Argentine.”
