The Chilean media keep following every move from Alexis Sanchez. Local outlets seem pretty concerned with their national team star’s future, and with a promising transfer window coming, many rumours are getting started in South America.
It’s claimed that sources close to the player said Sanchez is keen on moving to Pep Guardiola’s side, as the manager has chosen the Chilean as a priority signing for the summer.
Guardiola, just like José Mourinho, is allegedly spoken to the player in the past few weeks to try to convince him.
Manchester City would be offering the player wages of £200k per week, something that is ‘impossible to ignore’, as described the outlet. That doesn’t seem such a great figure in the current market.
The big problem for this operation is that Arsenal would not like to favour their rivals, so a better solution for Arsene Wenger’s side is to sell him to a club from abroad.
But Sanchez reportedly doesn’t want to go to Italy or Germany, and a return to Spain is seen as ‘unlikely’.
The story is pretty big, and although it’s not said if the claims are exclusive or from somewhere else, it sounds like a gathering of all the recent reports regarding Sanchez. Directv’s claim about the sources close to Sanchez sounds like their own line.
