Chido Obi-Martin has arguably been one of the most talked about emerging talents over the past few months and the 16-year-old is technically without a club after his exit from Arsenal.

Reports have consistently stated he’ll join Manchester United soon, but the move hasn’t gone through yet and there’s talk of potential legal strife when it does.

As the teenager prepares to feature for Denmark’s U18s team, his national team boss Morten Eskesen has insisted the player future will be secured soon.

Eskesen spoke to Tipsbladet about this, with the outlet again stating Obi-Martin will join Manchester United after parted ways with Arsenal.

“I spoke to him last week and asked him if he was fit for the fight and injury free. He was, and he is in between jobs.

“Right now he doesn’t have a club, but it’s only a matter of time. After all, a lot happens in the transfer window. We know what he stands for.”

Eskesen seemed quite sure that clubs will be lining up for him and that the youngster will have no problems finding a new team.

“When I read about him, they have been queuing up to get him. I’m sure a man with that talent will have no trouble finding a club. It might be more about which club he chooses.”

The Denmark Under-18s boss also highlighted some of Obi-Martin’s best qualities that could come in handy for Manchester United in the future.

“His greatest competence is that he scores many goals. If you saw some of the goals at the European Championships… he’s a really good finisher and positionally good, so he gets free for that.”

Eskesen further stated: “He is also good man-to-man. He is good at running in depth in relation to getting into free positions. His finishing skills are what allow him to score so many goals.”

The young striker was superb for the Arsenal U18s side last season, scoring 32 times in 18 games and it was a breakout season that should now earn him a big move to Old Trafford.
