Arsenal and Barcelona are interested in signing Willian once his contract at Chelsea expires this summer.

Despite months of talks about a potential extension, one hasn’t arrived as yet.

He agreed to extend his deal until the end of the season, which means the second leg of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, after which he will be free to negotiate a deal with whoever he pleases.

And, according to Esporte Interativo, two of the options on the table will be Arsenal and Barcelona.

They report that Willian is ‘of interest’ to both clubs, although neither have ‘presented an official proposal’ to him as of yet.

Indeed, the forward still has ‘no definite destination’ for next season, having failed to agree on a new deal at Chelsea, who weren’t willing to match his demands for a three-year contract.

The Blues weren’t keen on that and so they ‘preferred to separate’ once the season had been completed.

That ties in with the last reports on the subject, in which Willian indicated he would sign if Chelsea matched his demands.

Arsenal and Barcelona are now seemingly waiting in the wings although Esporte do not offer if either side are willing to give Willian the three-year deal he apparently wants.
