Whether Chelsea need another central midfielder as things stand remains to be seen, but if they were to decide to part ways with N’Golo Kanté, then they might.
The Frenchman is a target for Inter and Antonio Conte, who has allegedly circled the player’s name ‘in red’ for his summer transfer window.
The Serie A club, keen to satisfy their manager, have agreed to give it a go, but before they do they need to sell.
One of the players who could be sacrificed is Marcelo Brozović, who recently made it clear he was enjoying himself at Inter.
That being said, the 27-year-old appears expendable, and Corriere dello Sport believe both Chelsea and Bayern Munich ‘would be interested’ in him should he be made available to clubs around the world and are ‘on his trail’ as things stand.
It’s certainly something to think about going forward, especially with Conte wanting Kanté.
Other players who could be sold and thus used to make up the alleged €50m needed to sign the French midfielder are Diego Godín, Dalbert, Ivan Perisić, Radja Nainggolan, Matias Vecino and Roberto Gagliardini.
