Chelsea’s chase for Napoli star Victor Osimhen is never forgotten by the Italian media, and it seems there’s a very good reason for it.

Journalist Rudy Galetti today shows up to claim that the Blues are still ‘keeping their pressure’ to get the striker signed at the end of the season regardless of their poor season under Mauricio Pochettino.

It’s said that Osimhen is the ‘main target’ Chelsea have for next summer, and they’re always ‘in talks’ with his entourage to try and agree personal terms.

According to Galetti, there’s a ‘common will’ for this transfer to take place, even though a deal hasn’t been reached yet.

The European race to get Osimhen signed is nothing new in the rumour mill, but it’s indeed interesting to see that Chelsea are working slowly to convince his entourage to choose them over any other offers they might have received.

At the start of the year, the very same Galetti had already claimed it was highly unlikely the Blues would get him signed in January, as the ‘opportunity’ should show up in the summer.

With Napoli getting prepared for an auction for him in a few months, it should then depend on how much Chelsea will put on the table, with many expecting the €130m in his clause to need to be triggered for the Serie A side to allow an exit.
