Chelsea have joined Manchester City and Juventus in chasing Peñarol starlet Facundo Pellistri.

This is according to, who state the 18-year-old has already been looked at by the Turin club’s scouts.

It’s claimed the Serie A winners will have to battle it out with the Premier League clubs for the winger.

Pellistri was born in Montevideo, but according to the website, he holds a Spanish passport, and this has seen him tempt several European clubs.

There have been claims from Spain about Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid’s interest, but explain most concrete signals are coming from England.

According to the report, City have kept ‘contacts alive’, most likely with the Uruguayan’s camp.

Pellistri graduated from Peñarol’s academy before making his way into their first team last September.

Earlier this year, he was rewarded with a new contract and his current deal with the South American side is until 2022.
