It started in Gazzetta dello Sport, it made its way to La Repubblica and now it’s in Corriere dello Sport, meaning news that Chelsea could be interested in Antonio Candreva is circulating in Italy.
Considering Antonio Conte is currently with the Italy national team in France, there hasn’t been a lot of news from England about this one, with Chelsea probably waiting for the Italian to return before getting transfer business done.
Currently with the soon-to-be Chelsea manager, the Lazio winger has made it clear to his club he wants to leave, but the Serie A side aren’t planning on making it easy for him.
Claudio Lotito, the club’s owner, has set a €30m (£23m) price tag on the 29-year-old, which seriously limits his options within Italy, meaning a move abroad is probably more likely.
Inter Milan have been big favourites to sign the winger, but Corriere dello Sport say that his performances during the Euros have caused Lazio to reconsider his price.
The player’s agent is said to be in contact with Roberto Mancini’s club, but also maintains a link with the Premier League club as he tries to keep their interest alive.
Chelsea seem to be favourites in this one, just because they have money.
