Chelsea have reportedly made an offer for Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
That’s claimed by Il Mattino today, relayed by CalcioNapoli24, who talk about the decisive days for the striker’s future.
It’s said Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain made the ‘first two’ offers for the 24-year-old, who has ‘no intention’ of renewing his contract with Napoli.
The two bids were apparently communicated by the player’s agent Roberto Calenda, who yesterday asked for a ‘summit’ with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis to speak of the striker’s situation.
CalcioNapoli24 say the offers arriving are ‘indecent’, suggesting they’re very big.
For now, it isn’t revealed exactly how much Chelsea and PSG put on the table. It’s just claimed that in case Napoli don’t sell Osimhen now, next summer he’ll be one year away from the end of his contract, and that’s why he’ll have the ‘price collapsing’.
The pressure on Napoli is what could favour the interested sides this summer. Now since those are definitely not the only clubs who want the centre-forward, we should probably expect more offers to reach the Serie A side in the coming weeks, as this is just the start of a battle for one of the biggest signings of the window.
