With Reece James unable to stay fit for long periods of time, Chelsea appear ready to bring in some reinforcements down the right hand side of their defence.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who claim the Blues are one of the clubs who are interested in signing Raoul Bellanova from Torino in the summer.
It’s revealed that Chelsea have ‘enquired’ about the player’s current and future situation at the Serie A side, clearly in view of a potential move in the coming months.
At this point, Torino and their president Urbano Cairo ‘will not listen’ to any offer for the 23-year-old until the summer as they focus on their efforts to make it into a European competition next season.
While their desire would be to go into the next campaign with Ballenova and Alessandro Buongiorno, ‘it is not excluded’ that ‘important proposals’ could arrive for both.
As things stand, Chelsea only have Malo Gusto as a natural right-back in their squad in James’ absence, and therefore, it is also ‘not excluded’ that the Blues make a move to add extra depth in that sector.
