Three days ago, journalist André Hernan reported Santos are discussing salary and other details with Chelsea to sign Deivid Washington on loan in the winter market.
Hernan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that Santos are waiting to receive documents from Chelsea so they can announce his arrival on loan until the end of this year.
He adds the Brazilian club will cover the 19-year-old’s full salary during the temporary stay.
Globo Esporte state Santos have reached an agreement with Chelsea to take the forward on loan. They are also reporting the South American club will pay his full wages.
According to Globo Esporte, Santos are expected to make his transfer official on Monday.
Enzo Maresca left Washington out of his core plans this season so he had to settle for minutes with Chelsea U21s. This convinced the Blues man to go out on loan to Santos in this window.
Washington is with Brazil U20s at the ongoing South American U20 Championship and will arrive at Santos after his country’s campaign in Venezuela.
