Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech is travelling to Turkey today to finalise a move to Galatasaray, with his flight expected to land at 8:30pm
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who says the Chelsea outcast is very on the verge of finally securing his move away from Stamford Bridge.
Ziyech is part of the group of players that Chelsea are keen to move on before the end of the window, with it made clear he is not a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans moving forwards.
He had been close to a move to Saudi Arabia, but that deal collapsed when Ziyech failed a medical and Al Nassr pulled out of the potential transfer.
Ziyech has been stuck truing to find a new destination ever since, training away from the Chelsea first team after it was made clear Pochettino had no place for him.
Galatasaray have emerged as the likely destination for him, pushing for a deal over the last week or so as they gear up to lose Nicolo Zaniolo to Aston Villa.
Yağız Sabuncuoğlu now reports that Ziyech is set to fly to Turkey today to complete the final part of the move, with his flight scheduled to land at 10.30pm local time (8:30pm UK time).
Whether he finalises things this evening or leaves it until tomorrow isn’t mentioned but either way, his departure from Chelsea is now very close to completion.
