For the past few years, Italian side Juventus managed to sign some good players at the end of their contracts with their clubs. Now it seems to have become a plan, and the next target is already being considered.
Website Il Bianconero brings a story today saying a good name for the summer could be Willian, from Chelsea. The Brazilian’s deal with the Blues is running out at the end of the season, and ‘it seems’ there weren’t any contacts for a renewal.
The outlet claims the 31-year-old is taken with ‘excitement’ at Juve’s board, as he can play both on the wing or as a ‘trequartista’.
An advantage for Juventus is that Chelsea don’t normally offer contracts of over one year for players who are over 30, and the Old Lady could attract him with a longer deal.
Some of the free agents who Juventus have signed include Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Sami Khedira, Emre Can and Adrien Rabiot.
