Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Real Madrid youngster Rafa Marín, according to today’s AS.
The 21-year-old, who is yet to make his first team debut for Los Blancos, featured 39 times for Real Madrid Castilla last season, where they failed to achieve promotion to the third tier.
This has convinced Marín, who is on Chelsea’s radar, Sergio Arribas and Carlos Dotor to ‘aim to leave’ the La Liga side in the summer window.
It’s stated the centre-back and the two youngsters won’t ‘lack proposals’ to change clubs.
Marín has a year left on his contract and the newspaper states Chelsea and RB Leipzig are the two clubs that have been following him closely.
Online, AS report the Spaniard’s desire has been to continue at Real Madrid. The problem is that the club haven’t yet tied him down to a new deal and this has resulted in both the Blues and the Bundesliga side ‘paying the most attention’ to his situation.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have renewed Nacho’s contract until 2024. AS say this, coupled with Jesús Vallejo’s presence, closes the first team door for Marín and also improves his chances of leaving the club in this window.
