Fotospor claim Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal wants to sign at least one midfielder before the transfer deadline with Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater an option for the club.

In recent days Fenerbahce have been strongly linked with a move for the Chelsea outcast as it’s claimed the Premier League side have now offered the Istanbul club the chance to sign the player.

According to Fotospor, Fenerbahce’s board are working hard to complete a deal for Drinkwater, along with PSV’s Bart Ramselaar.

Fenerbahce recently signed Victor Moses from Chelsea on a loan deal and the Turkish club are now hoping to confirm the arrival of Drinkwater before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

The former Leicester City midfielder hasn’t been part of Maurizio Sarri’s plans this season and his only appearance came in the Community Shield against Manchester City in August.

It looks like he’ll have to move on to get first team football elsewhere and a transfer to the Super Lig looks a possibility for the player.
