As Chelsea are still interested in signing Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan, the Blues keep looking for arguments to convince the Italian club to sell. At least, that’s what is claimed in Italy this weekend.
On Saturday, reports from Italy suggest that besides a money bid, Chelsea have also offered a player in exchange. This offer would’ve been of €10m + John Obi Mikel, according to Calcio Mercato. Inter reportedly turned it down, as a defensive midfielder isn’t something they need right now.
The website claims that Brozovic is on the market and Inter want to sell. But the only demands are that he’s not going to another Italian club and that the offers must be made of money only.
If Chelsea genuinely want Brozovic then they should be able to wrap a deal up, but the Croatian has been linked to several Premier League clubs and it seems more a case of Inter testing the water.
