Wherever Maurizio Sarri goes, Jorginho isn’t far behind.

At least, that was the case until the Italian manager moved to Juventus, while the Brazil born Italy international stayed at Chelsea for the current season.

That didn’t stop rumours of the midfielder potentially moving to Turin, but, so far, there has been no indication this could take place other than paper talk.

In fact, it appears Jorginho could be committing his future to the Stamford Bridge based club, as Joao Santos, the player’s agent, spoke to Calciomercato.it and clarified the situation.

He said: “Juventus? I’ve read about it, but I haven’t had any contacts with them. Neither Sarri nor their director have called me to have information on Jorginho. I don’t know anything about this situation. The kid is very happy in London where he has shown his value and still has three years on his contract.

“And in July, there is the possibility of adding on a fourth and opening talks for a contract renewal with Chelsea. I don’t know what Juventus’ plans for the future may be, but this is what the plans are for our future.

“And I repeat, to date, neither Juventus nor if any other club has come forward for Jorge. If there were contacts in the summer? The director, Paratici, has known me very well for years, but he didn’t call me to have information for Jorginho”.

That should clear the situation regarding the former Napoli man, whose incessant links with an exit were becoming a bit tedious.

At least, we hope it does, but we know all too well what certain members of the Italian media are like, so we’re not holding our breath.

Jorginho was having a good second season at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard, scoring seven goals and assisting two others in 37 appearances.
