Brighton are showing interest in Salernitana’s Loum Tchaouna, with the Frenchman expected to leave when they are relegated from Serie A.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who throw Brighton into the mix for the 20-year-old, who is valued at €15m.

The newspaper explains that Salernitana are expecting a busy summer of outgoings as they’re set to drop into Serie B, and Tchaouna is one of the names who could depart.

He is considered the ‘most attractive footballer’ in the current squad and has a growing list of suitors, with Brighton named alongside Lazio and Stuttgart.

Tchaouna is one of the few players in the team who haven’t disappointed this season, with three goals and four assists in 28 appearances, and that means clubs could be willing to pay for him.

He also fits perfectly into Brighton’s model of targeting younger players to develop and a fee of €15m or around that point is not out of their reach by any means.

Their interest has appeared this week, with a report yesterday also naming them among the player’s fans and claiming a bargain €8-10m deal could be possible this summer.

He seems to fit perfectly into their model and that’s leading to a growing idea Brighton could move at some point in the coming weeks and months.
