Chelsea are making ‘big moves’ to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and Crystal Palace star Michael Olise this summer.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say that Chelsea are ready to go big in the market again to back new manager Enzo Maresca.
They report that a few days after finally securing Maresca’s signature, Chelsea’s management are already getting to work on potential signings and the two they are currently focused on are Sesko and Olise.
The Blues want to strengthen their forward line and consider the RB Leipzig striker and the Crystal Palace winger the ‘two main summer priorities’.
Contacts have already been made with the representatives for both player and initial contacts have begun between the different parties.
The ownership group at Stamford Bridge, headed up by Todd Boehly, are said to be determined to provide the necessary funds to build a successful team for next season and that includes ‘big moves’ for Sesko and Olise.
There’s no mention of their clubs at this point, but it has been made clear in reports over the last few weeks RB Leipzig and Crystal Palace have no intention of selling either player on the cheap.
There is also a question of how Chelsea plan to fund the moves given their spending in recent years and their apparent need to sell this summer to help balance the books.
That, though, isn’t stopping them according to Foot Mercato, who say they’re already making ‘big moves’ for Olise and Sesko.
