In November, Tipsbladet reported Chelsea are ‘crazy’ about FC Copenhagen star Roony Bardghji. A month later, BT stated the interest from the Blues ‘should be massive’.
The west London club weren’t able to sign the 18-year-old in the winter market but continue to follow him.
Recent claims have stated Barcelona are keeping tabs on the winger. Mundo Deportivo relay that and mention Chelsea.
The player has scored 11 goals from 30 games this season and hasn’t yet made an appearance for the Danish club this year. That hasn’t stopped him from attracting interest from elsewhere.
Apart from the La Liga side, it’s claimed Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Leverkusen are ‘attentive to the future of the talented footballer’.
Mundo state the Sweden U21 international is valued at €9m and there will be no shortage of options, if he decides to leave Copenhagen in the summer.
For now, Chelsea are said to be lurking around the attacker and the price quoted above shouldn’t be an issue for them.
According to Ekstra Bladet, Bardghji’s deal lasts until December 2025.
Recent claims have stated he hasn’t featured this year due to his refusal to sign a new deal, but this has now been dismissed by Copenhagen manager Jacob Neestrup.
In addition to that, there’s been suggestions a media storm is being manufactured around interest in Bardghji, so that’s worth considering.
