The Brazilian media today claims that Chelsea are interested in signing Murillo from Nottingham Forest.
UOL shares a story claiming that the Blues are studying the possibility of making a bid for the centre-back.
It’s said that Nottingham Forest are demanding €60m for the transfer, and in these first contacts, Chelsea said they wouldn’t match that price.
That’s why, according to UOL, the Blues are studying including some players in the deal.
Nottingham Forest only spent €12m to sign Murillo from Corinthians last summer, and the player had a very quick adaptation to prove himself in English football.
That’s why several clubs have recently been linked to him. UOL point out that Atlético Madrid made contact, but couldn’t afford the signing and gave up. Liverpool were recently linked as well.
Chelsea have repeatedly looked towards Brazilians recently, and now seem to be going for one more. It just remains to be seen if they’ll have the power to match Nottingham Forest’s requests, or if the Reds will be interested in a potential package from the Blues.
