Chelsea have started talks with Juventus for striker Dusan Vlahovic but will need at least €70m if they are to sign the Serbian.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the striker’s situation at Juventus is ‘absolutely fluid’ at this moment in time.
They explain that Vlahovic is ready to give his all for whatever club he is at and so, for the time being at least, is working hard in pre-season with Juventus.
Whether he stays with the Italian giants beyond this summer is up for debate, though, as Juventus need to balance the books and are ‘willing to consider’ suitable offers for the player.
Chelsea are one of those clubs who would be willing to sign him and ‘the first talks’ are already underway about a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
They need a new striker and to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is working on a permanent move back to Inter Milan.
Vlahovic’s fate, therefore, is not clear and in addition to Chelsea there is Bayern and Tottenham who have ‘focused their radars’ on the Serbian.
The belief is that once the striker market starts to move, Vlahovic could be one of those changing clubs and Juventus would be happy to sell if they could get ‘no less than €70m.’
Whether that’s a price that the Blues are willing to pay remains to be seen but Vlahovic is very much a player that they can get if they really want him.
