As you might have heard, there’s a feeling that a big Premier League club could make a move for Victor Osimhen this summer.
Many sides have been linked with the Nigeria international, who will then need to be replaced, with Chelsea’s Armando Broja a target for Napoli.
This has been touted a few times in the Italian media, with Gazzetta dello Sport bringing it to the fore once again on Wednesday.
It’s made clear that the 20-year-old’s candidacy ‘must be seriously considered’, as he fits the profile they would be looking for, despite him not being a ‘thoroughbred goalscorer, or at least not yet’.
He is seen as having ‘important technical means and discrete mobility’, which he has used to his advantage this year at Southampton, where he has impressed.
Whether Chelsea would want to sell him remains to be seen, as their summer could be complicated, and they could end up needing every player they have to help their cause.
If Napoli come knocking with enough money from Osimhen’s sale, Chelsea could be swayed.
