France Football‘s transfer special this week brings some interesting big stories, most of them involving Premier League sides.

One of them is about Chelsea’s chance to sign Edinson Cavani, who despite being loved by Paris Saint Germain fans, should be leaving France soon.

The magazine writes the Uruguayan ‘doesn’t speak the same football’ as the club’s other stars, and that’s one of the many reasons why things aren’t working out at PSG for him this season.

As his contract expires in 2020 and he’s currently 31, a move now is described as ‘the last chance’ to get a big deal somewhere else.

There are three special contenders to sign the Uruguayan international: Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Napoli. Regarding the Blues, France Football claims Maurizio Sarri isn’t happy with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, and would like Cavani to be the number one centre-forward.

Napoli are said to be offering Cavani a long-term contract to bring him back, while Atletico Madrid are keeping an eye on Diego Costa’s situation to decide if they make a move for the Uruguayan or not.

But Premier League money continues to make a difference in the transfer market. France Football claim Chelsea could pay up to €50m for Cavani, while if selling to Atletico or Napoli, PSG would get between €25m and €40m.
