Chelsea are ‘keeping an eye’ on Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix and have already made contact with his agents about a move.
That’s according to Sky Germany journalist Max Bielefeld, who says the German club could be tempted into a sale for the right price.
Bielefeld explains that Lacroix has recently declined offers to renew his contract at Wolfsburg, with his current deal set to expire in June 2024.
That means the German side are in no desperate situation to sell but ‘may’ do so for a fee of around €30m.

Whether Chelsea are willing to pay that isn’t mentioned, but they are interested in the defender at least and are ‘keeping an eye’ on him.
In fact, it would seem things are a little more forward than that as Bielefeld states that contacts with his representatives have been ‘established’ ahead of the summer.
That would suggest they are keen or at least laying the groundwork for a summer move, rather than just having Lacroix as a name on their list.
Either way, he’s one to keep an eye on in what is gearing up to be a big summer for Thomas Tuchel and co.
